3 Websites to Use to Apply for Jobs After Graduating College

By Andreas Fanos on January 15, 2018

You did it! You made a great choice to embark on the college journey and have graduated. Now it is the time to get a full-time job to pay bills and more importantly, student loans. You are an adult and need to go out into the real world and work a 9-to-5 or 8-to-5 job. There are multiple websites that can be used to find jobs online. Here are my favorite three.

1. Glassdoor

I like this website a lot for applying to jobs after college. Most of the time it lists the salary for the specific job and the criteria for what it entails. The format of it is very simple and anyone can apply very quickly if they want. There are plenty of opportunities on this site and it is simple with the format or layout. I like the layout of this site the most.

All the details and reviews of the company or job you are applying for here too. Be sure on all three of these sites to make an account and upload a resume and fill out other basic information. Uploading a picture of yourself will also help out and show employers what you look like. For each of these three websites, it gives you the freedom to search whatever job you may like in the search bar. You can search a job title, keyword, or the company.

2. ZipRecruiter

I also like ZipRecruiter because of the easy applying with a click of a button and that it lists the salary or pay per week for each separate job. It will list when each job was posted and it will give a list of suggested jobs for you to apply to based on your information. It has a different vertical layout with four jobs on each level.

3. WayUp

I can not say enough nice things about WayUp. Using this site I was able to find the internships that I acquired while in college. Not only does this have plenty of internship options, but it has plenty of job opportunities as well. A lot of the jobs can be found in New York City, but there are jobs that you can find in New Jersey and other places too.

Like others, it is very simple to find jobs you want or internships as they are split into categories and searched. They will keep track of your progress and ask if you have gotten hired or gotten an interview that you can do at your own time. You can save jobs that you want to apply to later and save it like the other sites, too. Signing up for emails is smart too because they send helpful emails and relevant jobs to you.

It may be hard but the objective is to not panic and to keep applying to jobs. There are a lot of opportunities in the world and the economy has been steadily gaining ground by creating more jobs and unemployment is at it’s lowest ever with “4.1% unemployment, the lowest in 17 years.” It can be difficult to find an entry-level position, but you can do it. Nobody said it was going to be easy and it can be hard for millennials to thrive with the rising cost of living and competition. Use these three websites to find jobs or internships and turn your life around.
